Forest preserve entrance is just east of river on south side of Dundee. Follow the road about 1 mile south until you hit the parking lot past the dam. There is plenty of parking. You can drive your car down the road that ends at the dam for unloading.

American Whitewater Assoc. also has the area just below the dam listed as "Bill's Hole" where 2-3 holes develop as well as a wave train and deep eddylines. Here are some pics of kayakers playing in the waves.

Parking is also available in the forest preserve lot on the west side of river at the intersection of Milwaukee and Hintz Rd.
