Lions Park in Winfield is a small city park on Beecher St. two blocks west of Winfield Rd., a block south of the Metra railroad tracks. There is a timber step-down landing (usually covered with mud) at the north end of the park. Portable toilets are available in season, and a picnic shelter with tables. It's a good put-in for a short trip to Mack Rd., or for a lunch stop or take-out for trips starting at St. Charles Rd. upstream.

There is a manicured (by the park district) fishing spot here marked with a bass sizing sign. It is on the southwest side of the Hassert Blvd bridge. There is a small driveway at the pump house to load/unload and some parking in a gravel lot at a cemetery across the street. Took out here on 08/25/14, very easy to get in and out with the kayak.
